The Tern is a little zippier, glidier, and longer. Honestly, for this type of shot I prefer a Tern. I feel like the flatness of the disc hurts glide a little. Newer Hades' also don't seem to glide like the protos do. Add to cart Description Specification Paul McBeth rounds off his 5th disc release with the Hades. Controllable power that's manageable by all skill levels. Think of this as a compliment to the iconic Zeus. Right as it gets cold, Paul Mcbeths slightly. Discraft Big Z Hades (Paul McBeth) The Hades is a stable maximum distance driver. Players with less power will find this to be a very accessible high-speed driver. The Hades is quick, has tons of glide and is great for long anhyzer shots. This disc was created to be the understable compliment to McBeth's popular Zeus. The Hades is a fast, understable distance driver designed by five-time PDGA World Champion Paul McBeth. IMO, the proto Hades is a hair flippier than the production runs. The Discraft Hades is the first understable distance driver in the Paul McBeth line of discs, and boy. It's not the longest disc I've ever thrown, but it's the longest disc that I can consistently control. I can't count how many understable high speed drivers I've lost because they would turn over and never fade back. I've been trying to find a disc with this stability and speed for the longest time- basically a long bomber that I can release on hyzer without fear of it completely turning over and not coming back.
